Meet The Team
PanAmor Handpans is a family owned business based in the heart of Devon, UK (we ship word wide though so don't worry if you are overseas and interested in one of our instruments.)
Daryl - Meet the maker. Since the age of 14 Daryl has played drums and percussive instruments and has been influenced by a great variety of musical styles from around the world. Making music has always been a natural and creative channel of expression for him.
As well as playing a variety of instruments Daryl has also spent 7 years working with Ableton Live, exploring many realms of electronic music production and sound manipulation. This has allowed him to develop an ear for frequency isolation, a skill which is essential for the tuning of steel.
As well as his passion for music, artwork has also played a strong role in Daryls form of expression which can be seen beautifully in his work. He places great importance on the over all look of his instruments and in creating sound sculptures he has found the perfect medium to marry the creation of music and art together.
Marcia - As well as being a supportive life partner to Daryl and being a "handpan wife" she is also the co-owner and manager of PanAmor Handpans.
Occasionally helping with the building of our handpans Marcia also does the PanAmor artwork and designs specialising in the hand engraved mandala artwork.
She also makes sure all things are covered from web design, blogging, video editing, photography, social media management as well as email and communication and managing PanAmor.
Together with Daryl she takes care of things behind the scenes, planning events, merch, working with musicians and lots more.
LYNDON - Joining the team in the summer of 2018 Lyndon is a wonderful asset to the company.
As well as being a talented handpan player (www.lyndonforster.com) he now also works behind the scenes for PanAmor helping with the process of pan building.
You can find Lyndon stamping shells and creating gu holes plus lots more.
Brad - We had Brad join the team in 2018. A long time friend and brother to Daryl it's wonderful to have Brad be a part of PanAmor.
The ever creative soul that he is, Brad brings a lot to PanAmor with his artistic vision in design.
You can also find him sinking shells and helping out around PanAmor HQ (he's also great at chasing the dogs around the workshop and keeping PanAmor kid Bodhi entertained with his limitless imagination)
Bodhi - At the core of PanAmor Sound Sculptures is the heartbeat of our lives, Bodhi, Our son. Even on the toughest of days Bodhi will be there inspiring us with his shining spirit, dancing through life always wanting to put a smile on everyones faces. His passion for life and learning has made him naturally drawn to handpans, enjoying every moment of the process of the PanAmor business coming together, forever inspired by Daryls beautiful work and creations.
Bear - Meet our resident pooch Bear. She is the newest addition to our family and loves to have a good laze about in the workshop making sure all our pans
are tuned to perfection. If she can snooze through the tuning process it's a sure fire sign that our pans are coming together nicely.
